Yellowstone 2.0 PCB
The Yellowstone version 2.0 PCBs are here! They sure look shiny. I wonder if they work.
This is the second generation of my FPGA-based disk controller design for the Apple II. In comparison to the version 1.0 PCB, you can see there’s more going on. While it’s nothing in comparison to any professionally-designed device, this will be the most complex thing I’ve ever designed or assembled.

Looks awesome!
I concur, tis pretty.
Are the bigger level shifters easier to get?
Their availability looks about the same as the shifters in smaller packages. They are 74LVC245 chips, which are 3.3V bidirectional bus transceivers that are 5V tolerant.
They do look pretty!
Looks Great! Awaiting the updates on how they work. Keep up the awesome work
This is the Liron drive card replacement, right? I thought this was abandoned! Yay!
It’s more than a Liron replacement: it’s a universal drive controller that supports 5.25 inch drives, dumb 3.5 inch drives like the Apple 3.5, and smart drives like the Unidisk 3.5. It also supports Macintosh floppy drives.
Awesome. Please ignore the drooling.
